Net Salary in Cyprus 2026: Take Home Pay From €20,000 to €120,000
· Demetris D.
This is the reference table we wish existed every time someone asks "what is the net on X in Cyprus". All figures use the 2026 rules: the new tax brackets, 8.8% social insurance with the €5,742 monthly ceiling, and 2.65% GeSY, with both contributions deducted before tax. Twelve equal payments, no extra deductions claimed, rounded to the nearest euro.

Five things the table shows
Below €25,000 you pay almost no income tax. The first €22,000 of taxable income is tax free under the 2026 brackets, and social insurance plus GeSY push most modest salaries under that line. Deductions at this level are basically the flat 11.45% of contributions.
€30,000, the most searched salary, nets €2,138 a month. Income tax is €913 for the whole year, an effective 3.0%.
The €68,904 ceiling bends the curve. From around €70,000 upwards, social insurance stops growing: every row from €70,000 up pays the same €6,064. That is why total deductions climb slowly after that point even as the 35% band kicks in.
Doubling gross from €50,000 to €100,000 does not halve your rate of keeping. You keep 78.2% at €50,000 and 71.0% at €100,000. Cyprus remains mildly progressive by European standards.
Monthly figures assume 12 payments. Many Cypriot employers pay a 13th salary; the same annual gross then arrives as 13 smaller payments.
Earning with children or rent? Your net is higher
The table assumes no personal deductions. The reform added allowances for dependent children, housing, green upgrades and disaster insurance: a parent of two on €30,000 claiming €2,000 of rent pays €63 of tax instead of €913. Model your case with the deductions guide or directly in the calculator.
Frequently asked questions
Is €30,000 a good salary in Cyprus in 2026? It nets €2,138 a month, which sits above the median full time wage. Whether it is good depends on rent: Limassol housing costs differ sharply from Larnaca or Paphos.
What salary do I need for €3,000 net a month? About €45,200 gross per year on 12 payments. The calculator answers the reverse question quickly if you try a few values.
Why does my payslip differ slightly from the table? Benefits in kind, provident funds, union dues or an exemption such as the 50% relief for new residents change individual payslips. The table is the statutory baseline.
