The 2026 reform, in plain numbers.
How much tax will I pay on €30,000 gross in Cyprus in 2026?
On €30,000 gross per year your annual net is about €25,652 (around €2,138 per month) under the 2026 Cyprus tax reform. You pay €0 income tax up to the new €22,000 personal allowance, then 20% on the next slice, plus 8.8% social insurance and 2.65% GeSY, both deductible from taxable income.
What are the new Cyprus 2026 income tax brackets?
From 1 January 2026 the brackets are 0% on the first €22,000, 20% from €22,000 to €32,000, 25% from €32,000 to €42,000, 30% from €42,000 to €72,000, and 35% on income above €72,000.
What is the 2026 Cyprus social insurance rate and cap?
The employee social insurance rate is 8.8% of gross pay, capped at €5,742 of monthly insurable earnings (€68,904 per year). Contributions above that cap are not required.
What is the 2026 GeSY (GHS) contribution rate?
Employees contribute 2.65% of gross pay to GeSY, capped at €180,000 of annual earnings. Like social insurance, GeSY is deducted from taxable income before income tax is calculated.
Will I pay more or less tax in 2026 vs 2025?
Most employees keep more under the 2026 reform thanks to the higher €22,000 personal allowance (€19,500 in 2025) and revised middle brackets. Use the calculator above to see the exact difference for your salary.
How is take home pay calculated on €55,000 in Cyprus?
On €55,000 gross per year, your 2026 net is about €42,192 (around €3,516 per month) after social insurance, GeSY, and income tax across the new brackets.
Does the calculator handle the 13th salary?
Yes. Toggle the 13th salary option to spread the same annual gross over 13 payments instead of 12. For most salaries the annual deductions stay the same; for higher salaries the double payment month can exceed the monthly insurable earnings ceiling, which slightly reduces annual social insurance.
What deductions are available under the 2026 tax reform?
The reform introduces deductions for dependent children, mortgage or rent on a primary residence, green home and EV expenses, and disaster home insurance. Eligibility caps apply by income. Open the deductions panel in the calculator to model your scenario.
